Normandy

We have visited several D Day museums in Normandy. All are very interesting, and the graveyards certainly give you food for thought.  Found an internet cafe in Caen where you can use the computer for free, but the French keyboard is not quite QWERTY, so that slowed things down a tad.  Life improved immensely when we found a couple of little containers for the contents of the bathroom cabinets. Means we no longer have to take cover before opening the door.

The aires we have stayed on have varied a lot -from a hypermarket car park (really quiet when the shop shuts at 9pm) to a lovely site on the Seine but with enormous container shipping going by.
