We are hoping we can travel around for about a year - unless the money runs out before that.

Yes, we would like to live in the same area, and get back in contact with all our friends again.

Because renting out the home would pay the mortgage, but would not give us any working capital or income for while we are away.

Sadly, no, the motorhome's too full of our stuff to take any extra long distance passengers, (although you could always tag on behind on a pair of rollerskates).  However, if anyone is going to be in an area where we are heading, and would like to come and stay (subject to stringent procedural checks, of course ! ) then just let us know....
