Amsterdam to Ieper (Ypres)

It had rained in the night, as predicted, so we were (briefly) stuck in the mud.  Actually finding we are getting quite good at getting out of a muddy spot, but more of that later on, perhaps. After asking where we can get rid of our grey water, it turns out there is no disposal on the whole site.  This is not so good, but at least we emptied the loo.

We made a good start, and set off at 09.30, and Minnie said it was 296km to Ypres. Once again, we find the roads in Holland are a pleasure to drive, with other road users very courteous. We needed to have a break along the way, so  once we were in Belgium, we stopped at a motorway service area.  We could hear a rooster, so went Geoff went to investigate, but there was no sign of any bird.  "I am seeing no chickens" then became our saying for the day.

Minnie accurately found the aire at Ypres, and there was not a soul about.
